I am a graduate of Indiana University-School of Optometry and have been in practice for over 20 years. I am therapeutically licensed to diagnose and treat various ocular diseases. I am involved in the mission efforts of Fellowship of Christian Optometrists; in providing eye care to third world countries. I love my practice here and am devoted to my patients eye care. My wife, Shelley, and I have five children... Jonathan, Sarah, Taryn, Ella, and Anna.
I was born and raised on a farm in southern IL. I am the oldest of three children. I was very active growing up as a member of several clubs and sports teams. I was valedictorian of my high school class.
I attended undergraduate at Eastern Illinois University where she graduated Magnum Cum Laude in 2008. I went on to attend optometry school at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. After 4 years of classroom experience as well as clinical experience including, externship rotations in Wilmington, NC, Memphis TN, Evansville IN and various mission trips around the USA, I graduated cum laude in 2012. I was also named Outstanding Clinician of the Class of 2012. After graduation I completed a residency at the Veteran’s Hospital in Marion, IL where I specialized in patient care and managing ocular disease.
I moved to the area in 2012 and has rapidly gotten involved in the community. I am very active in my church and their outreach programs. I have also joined several local sports teams. When I am not busy as work I like to spend time with family and friends.
